Julia is a wonderful artist. I purchased the slug as a present and it was immediately loved by the recipient. It was a darling piece! It was very easy to communicate with Julia. She customized the slug in a timely manner. In fact, she sent me a video of trial customization before I made a payment for the item. She shipped it immediately and it got across the ocean on time. Cutting each piece free hand and without patterns makes the work exciting and the character unique. x

My Grandmother taught me to embroider and knit when I was wee. My first craft memory is me sitting in daycare listening to H.C. Andersen stories on cassette and knitting a scarf for my teddy, Viggo. We were supposed to celebrate Viggo's third birthday when it was finished, I was four years old. Viggo is still two as I never finished the scarf but almost three decades later I'm still listening to audio books while creating.

I cut all my pieces free hand - no patterns. I find it more exciting and I love visualising the finished sculpture in my mind while looking at a piece of fabric. Then, taking a deep breath, I grab my scissors and start cutting. My pieces are all one of a kind - why would I recreate when the possibilities are endless?

Etsy is a wonderful place to reach a large audience who are all discerning and interested in real OOAK art and craft. I love to sit in my studio located in the woods close to Loch Ness and communicating with wonderful people from all over the world.
